On 1 May, there was a serious security breach at Instructure, the company that operates the Canvas learning management system, which Ökuland uses for its online courses.
Part of the system was breached and, according to information from Instructure, an unauthorised party managed to obtain information about students’ names and email addresses. There is no indication that sensitive data or financial information fell into the hands of this party.
Instructure has announced that the security breach has been updated and closed, but Ökuland asks students to be wary of any unusual emails they may receive.
